And when you are finished having fun at the Riverwalk you are just a short walk away from seeing The Alamo, found in the Alamo Plaza Historic District. The Alamo is an historic Spanish mission and fortress compound founded in the 18th Century by Roman Catholic missionaries. This is also the site of the Battle of the Alamo in 1836.
